This striking strand features gem-grade hackmanite—an exceptionally rare variety of sodalite known for its tenebrescence, a remarkable ability to shift color in different lighting. Typically a soft pink to pale violet, hackmanite temporarily fades to gray or greenish-white in sunlight, then slowly returns to its original hue indoors. Discovered in Greenland in the late 1890s and named after Finnish geologist Victor Hackman, this stone is as collectible as it is beautiful.
